We are tackling COVID-19 jobs recovery and beyond with a group of committed global partners who have a shared vision of creating equity in opportunity and breaking down systemic barriers to employment. BlackRock, McKinsey & Company, Microsoft Corp., and Verizon have together pledged $77 million in new funding and $50 million in in-kind resources to transform employment systems, support new research, and serve 75,000 people.

Through their Generation experience, our graduates have transformed what’s possible for their families, their workplace, and their own lives.
Around the world, our students have overcome enormous obstacles to find their career path through Generation.
We aim to transform global employment practices through our work with employers, governments, communities, and other nonprofit organizations—creating a supportive environment rich in opportunity for those who otherwise might be disconnected from the workforce. We do this by working side-by-side with other organizations to build their capacity to prepare and place people into life-changing careers using the Generation approach. We’re already working on this with partners in Kenya, India, Singapore, and the US, including technical and vocational education and training institutions (TVETs), community colleges, and government organizations. We seek to expand this work over time to spark lasting change not only in lives of our graduates but in the employment system as a whole.
Generation has expanded beyond its work with young adults to serve mid-career workers who are looking to enter new fields—whether you have been displaced by a changing market, are returning to work after time away, or are simply in need of updated skills. The program, called ReGeneration, helps mid-career workers with wide ranges of experience develop the needed skills—technical, behavioral, and mindsets—to get the job you want. We train you, connect you with employers for job interviews, and support you, so you can launch a new career.
