Generation Brazil seeks to recruit a temporary (7 months) Curriculum & Instruction Generation Brazil seeks to recruit a temporary (7 months) Curriculum & Instruction Manager to cover maternity leave of the current manager. We are looking for a person that embodies our values and is passionate about creating impact in Brazil’s education to employment ecosystem.
The Curriculum & Instruction Manager is a full-time role responsible for the delivery of Generation curriculum and orchestrate the development of new curriculums; plan, manage, and deliver Generation onboarding and professional development to Generation instructors in Brazil; and to train, supervise and coach instructors in an in-person and online setting. The C&I Manager will report directly to the CEO in Brazil, and s/he will be supported by the Global Curriculum and Instruction Team. This position also has 3 direct reports that support the area.
The position will preferentially be based in São Paulo City. Temporary contract, compensation competitive with NGO industry standards.

To be successful you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in any field with a solid academic record
- Advanced written and spoken English
- 5+ years’ experience in the education sector and/or working with educational institutions, with at least 3 years designing and delivering training programs or teaching experience. Every candidate should have at least 1 year of experience as an instructor
- Experience working with educational institutions, and/or have knowledge of current trends in adult learning, issues and institutions in the skills training landscape
- Experience in leading and managing a team of diverse professionals
- Experience in project management, excellent organizational, interpersonal and communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience managing relationships and communicating with diverse stakeholders, such as training delivery partners, donors or employers
- Experience in leading and managing a team of diverse professionals
- Creativity and problem-solving skills with a track record of delivering outcomes
- High degree of independence with the ability to also be a team player
- Entrepreneurial and proactive mindset required in the start-up environment to deliver against targets and seek opportunities for improvement/growth without instruction
- Knowledge or work experience in the technology sector and the non profit sector will be a plus
What you'll do:
Program management, learning and improvement
- Collaborate with Global Curriculum & Instruction Team and local team to resolve programmatic issues that affect curriculum design, instruction, and program operations
- Support local program team in monitoring and evaluating the effectiveness of Generation methodology across beneficiaries and partners on an ongoing basis
- Work in partnership with other areas in Generation Brazil to guarantee program effectiveness and success
Program Design and implementation
- Support activity mapping with the global team for new programs, working with employers to surface the technical skills, behaviors and mindsets that should be integrated into new curriculum
- Liaise with stakeholders to gather inputs needed for curriculum design and obtain feedback as needed
- Collaborate with Global Curriculum Lead and Latam Curriculum Team in the design process and subsequent iterations thereof, ensuring content and activities are relevant and appropriate to the context
Instructor Strategy and Professional Development
- Manage the strategy and activities for instructor training and development, customizing global tools and guidance as needed to achieve program goals
- Lead, from the Generation side, the process of search, recruitment and selection of instructors or potential implementation partners according to the needs of the programs
- Design and customize onboarding agendas and session plans to lead trainings with relevant instructors
- Facilitate online and/or in-person onboarding for Generation instructors, engaging them in an adult-appropriate, participatory way
- Deliver professional development for instructors (e.g., coaching, refresher trainings, classroom visits, providing evidence-based feedback on observed strengths, areas for improvement and progress towards development goals)
Stakeholder engagement and management
- Support Generation in conversations with employer partners, communicating the value proposition of Generation’s approach to curriculum and instruction
- Lead the identification and onboarding of training service providers that will deliver Generation programs and supply instructors as needed
- Articulate Generation’s methodology for curriculum and instruction to support diverse partnerships, including employers, funders, training service providers, or other partners
