Our construction and infrastructure service training provides entry-level workers the technical and behavioral skills they need to launch a successful career.
Generation trains young adults for careers in construction and infrastructure service. We have successfully run an entry-level Construction Helper training program in Houston, TX and are actively looking to expand to new markets in the US and internationally. Generation can either embed directly with a single employer or partner with a consortium of employers to design tailored training programs for entry-level infrastructure services and construction roles. Our Machine Operator program in Dallas with Stanley Black and Decker is an example of our employer-embedded program model. We are always looking to improve and meet the needs of the labor market and are open to designing new curricula to satisfy talent demand in the infrastructure space.
Our programs all balance role-appropriate technical skills with behavioral skills that encourage a growth mindset and on-the-job problem-solving. The entry-level construction program, for example, might train for this set of skills:
- Construction Drawing
- Construction Math
- Hand tools
- Material Handling
- Power Tools
- Safety Rules and Protocols
- Field and Back-Office Technologies
Behavior & Mindsets
- Personal Responsibility
- Future Orientation
- Growth Mindset
We are seeking employer partners who are interested in launching a Generation training program to improve their entry-level talent pipeline and to boost the construction skills for youth in their communities.
