Emily Schaffer

Emily is a workforce executive with a mission to create lasting economic mobility in underrepresented communities. She has spent 15 years building best-in-class programming and employer partnerships at companies that have defined our world. Prior to joining Generation, Emily held several executive roles at Year Up, building the organization’s technology industry strategy and building Year Up’s largest and most complex market in the Bay Area of California. Emily has presented to the United States Congressional Black Caucus, was a founding leader for the $100m Google Career Certificates Fund and is a founding member of LinkedIn Network Gap Coalition. Emily holds a B.A. from Tufts University in Quantitative Economics and Spanish, and a M.A from Loyola Marymount University in Education.
