
Salah-Eddine Kandri
Regional Upstream Lead for MENA, International Finance Corporation
Salah-Eddine is the Regional Upstream Lead for MENA at International Finance Corporation. Previously, he was the Global Lead-Education, overseeing IFC’s active portfolio and investment program in the education sector globally and across all levels of education. Salah-Eddine’s experience spans 20+ years in international development investing in developing countries in a wide range of sectors with a primary focus on education and health sectors.
Since early 2010, Salah-Eddine spearheaded the Education for Employment (E4E) Initiative for Arab youth and was co-lead for the development of IFC and IsDB’s report ‘Education for Employment: Realizing Arab Youth Potential’ which was launched in April 2011.
Prior to IFC, Salah-Eddine spent six years at the IsDB in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia in charge of the Infrastructure and ICT private sector division. Salah-Eddine is a Fulbright Scholar and holds an MBA and a MSc. in Finance from the University of Maryland College Park as well as an undergrad degree in Chemical Engineering from ENIM, Rabat, Morocco.
