Announced on November 18th, 2025, by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences, Generation has been recognised for the research report “Age-Proofing AI: Enabling an intergenerational workforce to benefit from AI”, which received a silver prize in Research Projects or Publications. The research and campaign were supported by Google.org and The SCAN Foundation.
“The workplace is changing quickly as AI infuses more and more aspects of our professional lives,” said Jennifer Sikes, Chief Communications Officer, Generation. “Our research and the related campaign spotlight the ways that midcareer and older workers bring unique experiences and skill sets that can make them exceptional users of AI tools. We are honored to have our work recognized, and grateful to the Anthem Awards for the opportunity to be among so many important projects and campaigns.”
Age-Proofing AI: Enabling an intergenerational workforce to benefit from AI is a research report attempting to understand what the future holds for the workforce, particularly for two of the fastest-growing age groups in the labor market: midcareer and older workers., based on a global survey of more than 2,610 employees over age 45 working in entry-level and mid-level roles and 1,488 employers, across five countries. It lays out challenges faced by employers and job seekers alike, and concrete steps employers can take to make the most of their experienced workers in the age of AI. Launched in late-2024, the report has sparked continued conversation around the challenges and opportunities facing midcareer and older workers in navigating the rise of AI in the workplace.
The related communications campaign, Age-Proofing AI, combined an organic social media strategy based on data storytelling, and a media outreach plan to promote the report launch. The campaign’s videos, social media activation, thought leadership, and earned media, helped drive visibility of the report and promoted conversations on barriers to equal access to employment.
“The Anthem Awards were born out of the desire to amplify and celebrate the voices that are creating sustainable change and to inspire others to take action,” said Patricia McLoughlin, Anthem Awards General Manager. “In a year where so much is at stake, it is incredibly important to recognize impact work and celebrate the progress happening globally. Congratulations to all of this year’s Winners.”
