Position overview

The Employer Engagement Manager is a full-time contract role. You will be responsible for managing a pipeline of hiring partners who are interested in hiring our program graduates. We are seeking a mission-driven Employer Engagement Manager, with experience in recruitment and managing B2B accounts, they will be passionate about advocating skill-based hiring among employer communities.

As the Employer Engagement, you will be responsible for the relationship between employers and Generation from the process of acquisition, growing relationships, identifying new demand, advocating for employer’s pay per hire support. With the overall mission of facilitating employer’s contribution to improve the Education to Employment ecosystem.

You will be working under the supervision of Business Development and Partnership Lead and in a close collaboration with the Program team to ensure all graduates are successfully placed with employers within 90 days of graduation.

This position is open for Thailand Citizens only.

  • Type of employment: Full-time employment position for 1-year (with possibility of extension, subject to funding).
  • Working Environment: This position is based in Bangkok, Thailand. Working arrangement is flexible (able to visit the office at least twice a week).
  • Start Date: As soon as possible

  • Previous experience in a HR, Recruiting, account management, or BD role, preferably involving senior stakeholders within government, corporate or philanthropic organizations.
  • Demonstrated versatile research ability, analytical skills,and being data-driven. This includes the ability to navigate information, identify insights, and perform analyses to indicate hiring trends and connecting with related partners.
  • Entrepreneurial in a sense of possessing the ability to translate strategic vision into tangible actions. Has experience in building relationships with multiple stakeholders within large and small organizations and maneuver resources to achieve shared vision.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Thai, with an ability to find, analyze, and synthesize complex information to produce clear and effective written documents both.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple employers and partner relationships from inception to conversion.
  • Integrity, a positive attitude, and a mission-driven approach with a demonstrated passion for our organization’s mission and commitment to collaborative teamwork.
  • A growth mindset, self-reflective, and open to frequent feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Passionate about empowering communities and contributing to social impact. While experience in a start-up and/or not-for-profit is desired, it is not essential.

What you’ll do:

1. Acquiring and engaging employer for program placement success

  • Co-design an employer engagement strategy for Generation Thailand includes material and resources required for outreach.
  • Identifying and contacting target employers based on specific program requirements, communicating our value proposition to the employers, and formalizing the nature of partnership (includes securing 1.5-2 x number of vacancies for every learner estimated to be trained).
  • Leverage Salesforce to keep track of employer pipeline; create employer dashboards for leadership on a regular basis.
  • Provide general troubleshooting support for the operations team (both Generation and our Delivery Partner), and support in resolving potential conflicts that might arise in the operations stage with employers and other stakeholders.
  • Ensuring all relevant legal documentation with respect to relationships with external stakeholders is completed, up to date and appropriately stored.
  • Secure ongoing commitment from existing employers, in line with targets.

2. Strengthening thought leadership in employer’s community

  • Contribute to building a strong brand awareness among employers, and making Generation a partner of choice for all entry-level recruitment challenges they face.
  • Establishing an employer communication strategy, and collaborating with the Marketing & Communication and BD & Partnership lead to manage employer relationships on a continuous basis.
  • Designing marketing activities to support the growth of knowledge and adoption of skill-based hiring approach.
  • Organize and collect employer feedback, case studies and interviews to showcase success of skill-based hiring approach.

3. Identify the new growth opportunities for impact and sustainability

  • Actively seek opportunity to grow employer partner relationship to further drive employer’s contribution e.g. pay-per hire, sharing resources for mentorship, employability support etc.
  • Gain insightful understanding of employer’s business, culture, and provide support to grow future opportunities
  • Help develop Generation’s understanding of the needs and attributes of employers you work with and feed this back to internal teams (Curriculum & Instruction team and Program team) as appropriate.
  • Contribute to the development of ROI frameworks, tools, and data collection processes for existing and new job roles and oversee any necessary data collection process involving the employers.
  • Support on employer’s demand study and other expertise for special projects needs.
