Annie Kim
In this role, Annie supports the Chief Operating Officer in building and improving upon Generation’s compliance program. She works closely with Generation’s functional and leadership teams to help understand regulatory requirements, identify and mitigate against risks, and provide strategic leadership from a compliance perspective.
Prior to joining Generation in 2022, Annie was investigations and compliance counsel for a government contracts law firm in Washington DC advising NGO and corporate sector clients. She also worked as a Special Agent with the Office of Inspector Generation for the United States Agency for International Development.
Annie holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Illinois and a B.A. from the University of Michigan.
Gillian McKenna
In her three decades of people leadership, Gillian has developed, strengthened, and led high performing global and local HR teams and delivered impactful leadership development. She has held a variety of senior people roles, most recently with Mary’s Meals International, which provides life changing meals to over two million of the world’s poorest children, and previously with Virgin Money (formerly National Australia Group), Hewlett Packard, IBM, and Texas Instruments. Gillian also ran her own successful HR consultancy supporting SME and public sector organizations.
Gillian has a B.A. in Business Studies from Glasgow Caledonian University and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Gillian lives in Glasgow, Scotland, with her husband and three children.
Alyssa Owens
In her role, Alyssa provides strategic thought partnership to Generation affiliates on all topics related to teaching and learning, including online programming, instructional staffing, coaching, new professions and partnerships. She also leads a team of curriculum experts across SAMEA and APAC who design Generation programs and support country teams with implementation and quality assurance.
Alyssa joined Generation in 2019. Prior to that, she spent a decade working in New Orleans public schools. Alyssa has taught English, coached teachers on curriculum, led middle schools as an assistant principal, designed curriculum, and helped families navigate the education system as a parent advocate.
Alyssa is a 2021 Fellow in the WISE Emerging Leaders program, and a Director on the Board of the Migrant Information Centre in Melbourne, Australia.
Goldie Chow
Goldie leads our efforts to scale Generation’s model through measurement and learning.
Goldie has built and led data and impact functions at Sama, Protagonist (formerly Monitor 360) and Kiva. In these roles, she has over a decade of experience operationalizing, aligning, and elevating impact with internal and external stakeholders.
Her playbook includes implementing impact management frameworks (with associated data systems) and practical research agendas to deliver day-to-day, useful insights, and to inform and drive longer-term impact strategy.
Goldie holds a MS in International and Development Economics from the University of San Francisco and a BS in Business from the University of Southern California. She began her career in analytics at Nestle and General Mills.
Shalini Dwivedi
Shalini Dwivedi is the Global Director of Instruction. In this role, she develops and oversees global instruction vision, strategy, and high-impact initiatives to support learners, instructors, and instructional coaches across all Generation countries.
Shalini joined Generation in 2016 as the Country Curriculum & Instruction Lead for Generation India where she led strategy and implementation for curriculum development, instructional delivery management, and trainer professional development. Prior to that, she worked as a teacher, teacher educator, and curriculum designer across K-12 and vocational spaces in both local and global contexts.
Shalini has a B.E. (Hons) from BITS-Pilani, India, and an M.S.Ed in International Educational Development from the University of Pennsylvania. Shalini is also a 2020 WISE Emerging Leader.
