Mercedes de la Maza
Mercedes has extensive experience in public and private partnerships, corporate social responsibility, philanthropy and community and social impact projects in Mexico and Latam. She has been working for more than 20 years in different non-profits, such as ManpowerGroup Foundation Mexico and Central America, Casa de la Amistad para Niños con Cancer and Cloud9World. She has also led Internal Communications, Organizational Culture, Corporate Social Responsibility and Wellness at Liverpool, a Mexican retail chain.
Mercedes believes her purpose in life is to change realities through her everyday work and Generation sparkled her interest because she feels entirely connected to the organization’s mission and vision. Mercedes has a BA in International Relations and a specialization in Philanthropy and Social Responsibility.
Phunyanuch Pattanotai (Aom)
Phunyanuch Pattanotai (Aom) has 11 years + experience in the education and international development field, both at the policy and grassroots level. Prior to joining Generation, she worked with Right To Play using sport and play to protect, educate, and empower vulnerable children and youth across Thailand.She also led a dynamic team at an inter-governmental organization, Southeast Asian Ministers of Education Organization Regional Center for Higher Education and Development (SEAMEO RIHED) serving the Ministry of Educations in 11 countries. In addition, she also has experience with working on combating sexual trafficking at a grassroots organization, Alliance Anti Trafic (AAT) and on advocating for independent living of people with disabilities with an Asia-Pacific Development Center on Disability (APCD).
Her educational background includes a B.A. in Liberal Arts (British and American Studies) from Thammasat University, Thailand, and a M.A. in Political Sciences (Human Rights and Human Development) from Waseda University, Japan. She also has a graduate secondary certificate on Marketing: Social Media and Web Analytic from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA Extension).
Fatène Ben-Hamza
Fatène graduated from Columbia University’s School of Public and International Affairs with a Master in Public Administration in 2020 and from the Institut d’Administration des Entreprises d’Aix-en-Provence, France with a Master in Management in 2007.
In 2009, Fatène started her career as a strategic planner at J.Walter Thompson advertising adgency. Wishing to get involved in the social economy sector, she took over the operations at Cogite Coworking space, a support structure for entrepreneurs in Tunisia in 2014. She successively worked for private foundations Hivos and Drosos in North Africa before moving onto UNICEF in Amman (Jordan) and then in New York within the ADAP (Adolescent Development & Participation section) in support of adolescents in humanitarian and protracted crisis contexts.
Back in France, Fatène joined Generation France in 2020 as Director of Development and Partnerships. Her ten years of experience in the social economy sector gave her a solid foundation to meet the challenges of employment and integration of vulnerable people. Today, Fatène is taking on the challenges as CEO of Generation France to « help people take their professional destiny into their own hands. »
